Broccoli Dashboard > Settings > Notifications

Here you can customize how you would like to be notified of any Broccoli communications regarding bookings, calls, emergencies, etc.

Contact Information: By default, your main office email is already set up to receive all notifications. You can also add additional emails and SMS numbers that you would like to be CC’d when receiving email and SMS notifications.

*Note: If you need to change your default office email, you will need to reach out to our support team.

Notification Rules: Here you can set up specific rules as to how you would like individual team roles/recipients within your organization to receive notifications. Available recipients are broken up into the following categories:

  • Managers (Notification type: SMS)

  • On-Call Techs (Notification type: SMS, Call)

  • On-Call Managers (Notification type: SMS, Call)

  • Office (Notification type: Email)

*Note: SMS and Email notifications will send to all SMS numbers and emails that are included in the Contact Information section

In addition, there are also additional external app integrations that you can add as recipients if you would like to receive notifications there as well.

  • Slack

  • Webhook

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Zapier

Rules can be created by selecting ‘Add Notification Rule.’ These consist of 3 main parts:

  1. Rule/Trigger (The action that you would like to trigger a notification)

  2. Recipient (Which role or external integration would you like to receive the notification)

  3. Time Frame (when would you like to receive the notification?)

Choose the notification rule (trigger) that you would like to receive a notification for. Then, select ‘Add Recipient.’ Now you can choose who you would like to receive the notification and also the time frame of when the notification should be delivered.

Next, you’ll want to continue onward to setting up your On-Call Scheduler in order to be able to customize who should be notified in case of an emergency.
