Broccoli Dashboard > Settings > Service Area

Here you can customize the service area you would like to be available for bookings. When a customer provides an address or ZIP code during a call, Broccoli AI checks it against the service areas configured here. This ensures that only relevant locations are considered for bookings.

If you would like your AI Agent to only book appointments within a specific area, first select ‘Add ZIP Codes’ and add any area codes you would like to include (you can copy and paste multiple at once). Then ensure that ‘Enable Service Area’ is turned on. The system also automatically validates the addresses provided during customer interactions to ensure they align with these configured service areas, offering seamless integration into the booking process.

*Note: Broccoli AI only explicitly informs customers if their address is outside your configured service area during the booking process because that is when the validation process is triggered.

If asked 'do you service this area' early in the call, your AI agent will always say yes unless you add a specific business guideline instructing the agent otherwise. (Business guideline example: We service the following zip codes: 84045, 84601, etc.)

If outside of the service area, the AI also marks a callback for further follow-up, allowing efficient handling while keeping you informed.

If you prefer Broccoli AI to notify you before confirming appointments outside the service area, you can leave the ‘Enable Service Area’ turned off. In this scenario, the AI will proceed through the normal call flow and flag such appointments for manual review.
